Murder at the Masque: The Casebook of Edgar Allan Poe may be the world's first true mystery ballet. Featuring characters and setting drawn from Poe's stories and poems, this new ballet will be a spine-tingling entertainment unlike anything you've ever seen. Lord Roderick Usher (danced by Royal Ballet Alum Matthew Dibble) has been murdered, everyone at the Masquerade is a suspect, and world famous detective Auguste Dupin (danced by Movin' Out alum Alex Brady) is on the case. Can you figure out who the murderer is before the great detective? Choreographed by Francis Patrelle to a commissioned score by Patrick Soluri (Madame X), based on an original story by Justin Allen (Slaves of the Shinar), with lavish sets by Gillian Bradshaw-Smith, opulent costumes by Rita B. Watson, and spook-tastic lighting by David Grill. An all-ages, history-making event.The company is also reviving fan-favorite Come Rain/Come Shine (featuring songs sung by Judy Garland), a ballet for three couples set inside a boxing ring, with all the emotional uppercuts, ego-jarring jabs, and roundhouse blows to the pride you might expect.
